Embedded Systems: 8051 Microcontroller 

This comprehensive workshop is a thorough introduction to the Embedded C language. The emphasis is on writing source code for 8 bit microcontroller. This workshop addresses targeting 8051 architecture based devices specifically and 8 bit microcontrollers in general. The information gained can be applied to any embedded system design. This workshop combines insightful lectures with practical lab exercises to reinforce key concepts. You will also learn advanced coding techniques that will increase your overall Embedded C proficiency and enhance your microcontroller design concepts.

Duration

It’s a two day workshop. In this two-day course, you will gain valuable hands-on experience. Incoming students with little or no Embedded Systems knowledge will finish this course empowered with the ability to write and create efficient microcontroller designs.

Engineering students who want to use Embedded C effectively for Embedded System Design. This knowledge can be used for designing microcontroller based projects for final year as well as for various Robotics competitions.

After completing this workshop, you will be able to:

• Target and optimize 8 bit microcontrollers by using Embedded C
• Use internal peripherals of a microcontroller such as Timers, Interrupts and UART
• Create and manage designs by using the Keil software design environment
• Interface external peripherals such as motor driver, keypad, LCD, RTC etc
