Hexapod

The Robosoft Systems Hexapod is a six-legged walking robot especially designed for study of locomotion of legged machines. Each leg of the Hexapod has two degrees of freedom. There is enough clearance between the legs so as to walk with a maximum walking stride without the legs physically touching. There is lot of provision for mounting various sensors on the Hexapod

The Mechanical Assembly

The Hexapod is made from high-quality laser-cut Aluminum structural components, black anodized aluminum servo brackets, and custom injection molded components. The kit includes twelve Tower Pro MG995 Servos with a stall torque of 11 kg/cm at 6V .

Controlling the Hexapod

RSS (Robotic Sequencer Software) is a Windows program for controlling the Hexapod with our 16 channel servo controller. With RSS, your Hexapod can be taught sequences of motion. The servo sequencer board can also be used by the student to develop there own stand alone programs using Embedded C
