The Nexus Swarm Robot Kit is the official robot for the Nexus competitions. It is a complete, high-performance mobile platform featuring two gearmotors, five reflectance sensors, one IR obstacle detector sensors, two Leds, and two user pushbuttons, all connected to a Rduino programmable Atmega 168 AVR microcontroller. Capable of line following, GRID solving, Swarm Robot Application and much more the Rduino Bot is a great first robot for ambitious beginners and a perfect second robot for those looking to move up from non-programmable or less advanced beginner robots.

The robot chassis is made from ultra-tough MS structural plates, and custom laser cut Acrylic components. ABS wheels with Silicone rubber rings provide good traction on almost any surface.


This version of the robot uses our Rduino 328 microcontroller board with L239D motor drivers for control of the Robot, it also has a line following module made from TCRT5000 sensors,two IR modules and optional RFpro wireless modules which can be used for controlling the Bot through a PC or interacting with multiple Robots to communicate with each other and do a common task. Using the RFpro modules upto 255 Bots can communicate with each other.

To keep costs down we are not providing printed Assembly Guides. They are provided online or with the accompanied CD, so you will need to print them when you order the kits. By providing the Assembly Guides online we can provide more detailed and up to date information than the old hardcopy method allowed.
