Self Balancing Bot

The Robosoft Systems Self Balancing robot especially designed for study the control system theory of Inverse pendulum. The basic idea for a two-wheeled dynamically balancing robot is pretty simple: drive the wheels in the direction that the upper part of the robot is falling. If the wheels can be driven in such a way as to stay under the robot's center of gravity, the robot remains balanced.
The Mechanical Assembly
The Self Balancing Robot is made from high-quality laser-cut Aluminum structural components, black anodized aluminum servo brackets, and custom injection molded components.
Controlling the Self Balancing Robot
Since this is a research platform we have put in a lot of sensors which the students can use in combination such as tilt sensors, inclinometers, accelerometers, gyroscope, hall effect sensors to perform various experiments. All the software is written in embedded C so that the students can use the existing balancing algorithm to come up with better and more efficient algorithms
